“Come spend the morning with us at the Cavanagh Recreation Center’s Food Forest! Grab your gloves and pruners and come get your hands in the dirt. Help pull weeds, prune back salvia, and thin fruit trees. Working in the garden alongside neighbors and program leads is a beautiful way to connect with your community. We’ll share the history along with the ecological and community benefit of the site. We’ll also harvest anything the garden has to offer during this summer season. Lend a helping hand to beautify this landscape while learning about plants and the opportunities to be regularly involved with our demonstration gardens. ”
