“2023 marks the 107th anniversary of Jack London’s death, Jack London State Historic Park will pay a special tribute to one of the world’s best known American writers. A memorial led by Park Historian, Lou Leal, will be held at Jack London State Historic Park on Saturday, November 18. Songwriter and vocalist, Jeff Falconer will perform his original song written in memory of Jack London. Jack London died of kidney failure on November 22, 1916. In his short life he accomplished much, not only as a writer of fifty books, but also as an adventurer, reporter, war correspondent, sports article writer, and innovative farmer. He was in the process of developing a model ranch, destined to be the finest in California, when he died.
