Jack London State Historic Park- Yoshimatsu Nakata

“Learn about Yoshimatsu Nakata, Japanese immigrant, samurai descendent, and Jack London’s right-hand man. Aleta George, author of Ina Coolbrith: The Bittersweet Song of California’s First Poet Laureate, will share stories of Nakata in the South Seas, at the ranch, and aboard London’s last boat, the Roamer. Aleta is writing a book about how the San Francisco Bay and it’s diverse maritime culture shaped Jack London.”
