“The Sonoma County Cemetery sits just behind the City of Santa Rosa’s rural cemetery. Founded in 1967, the cemetery was established to bury John and Jane Does and the County’s poorer residents. More than 330 people are now buried there, with the most recent burial taking place in 2020. Volunteers help with landscaping as well as other restoration activities. Come join us as we lovingly tend to this special place. Registration is required. For more information contact ParkPrograms@sonomacounty.gov.”
