Sonoma Ecology Center- Habitat Hike: Serpentine Grassland

May 19 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

“What is a habitat? Join Sugarloaf docents through the featured habitat, serpentine grassland. Learn about this iconic habitat, which although seemingly harsh, is characterized by specialized plant growth, particularly for native species, during this approximately 2-mile hike along Meadow Trail. This hike is the second in our four-part ‘Habitats of Sugarloaf’ hike series. Other hikes will explore the oak woodland and redwood forest habitats. Past hikes have explored chaparral habitat.”
