“If you have previously completed the Intermediate Hiking for Fitness Program or can hike 7.5 miles with at least 1,500ft of elevation, this hike may be right for you. This hike will take place at Sugarloaf’s McCormick Addition, off the Los Alamos Rd entrance to Hood Mountain Regional Park. From the Los Alamos parking lot, we will start out on Hood Mtn Rd and cross into Sugarloaf at Salt Creek, up Quercus, Headwaters, and Maple Glen trails to the park boundary. On the way back, we’ll return on a game trail and through the Grandmother Oak Trail before backtracking back to the parking lot.”
