“Do you love and want to connect people with the dynamic and beautiful Sonoma Coast? Do you care about the harbor seals at the mouth of the Russian River? Join us as a volunteer for Stewards Seal Watch Program. Volunteers support the safe viewing of harbor seals during weekends in the spring and summer months at Goat Rock State Beach near the mouth of the Russian River. Volunteers can join shifts at Goat Rock Beach, beach near the river mouth, and at an education table at the Jenner boat launch next to the visitor center. With your help, park visitors can learn about harbor seals and their pups, the natural history of the area, and how the Marine Mammal Protection Act ensures their safety.”
